Content Writers

The importance of content on a website can never be undermined. Web marketers, whether big or small, are slowly realizing that content is the most important element on a website. An SEO (Optimized), content rich website ranks higher on Search Engines and attracts more customers than one that has a lot of pretty images and simply looks good to the eyes. As Content Writers, he/she should create such Optimized content that is customer friendly as well as Search Engine friendly. This includes writing informational and factual online copy from scratch or editing and rewriting existing copy. He/She can research any topic for you and then write content that is targeted, easy to read and follow.

How Important Is Your Website Content?

The key to the online success of your website is the website content. A website has become a necessary element of web marketing in business today. It represents your company and showcases your products and services to the entire world. A well designed website can attract visitors to your website, but website content is the only element on your website that will bring regular traffic, persuade your visitors to take an action and add stickiness to your website. Converting a visitor into a customer is largely dependent on the quality of the web content. Powerfully persuasive web content writing is the most effective way of putting across your services / products to your target audience. The web content should be marked by clarity so that those visiting your website find the content easy to read and understand.

Difference between a copywriter and a web content writer

Many web content writers are also copywriters. However, not all copywriters write web content. Web content writers specialize in writing to the very specific format of the web medium, which is unlike the marketing and copywriting formats for broadcast or print mediums.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

  • Ability to work under deadline.

  • Ability to write persuasive headlines, captions page descriptions, and marketing text.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or other relevant field.

  • Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail in prior written works.

  • Outstanding written, editorial, listening, interviewing skills.

  • Proficiency in all MS Office PC programs.

  • Some experience as a copywriter preferred (online content experience is even better)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance creative, well-written content, headlines, page titles, etc. with search engine "optimized" text to ensure effectiveness of online marketing strategy.

  • Gather necessary materials to develop and manage content for client websites

  • Provide editorial support to other Marketing & Production team member as a quality control function

  • Target key audiences with appropriate voice, style and content.

  • Work closely with Designers and Production Assistants to ensure tone is consistent with design themes.

  • Write/edit content as necessary
